Who thought making samosa could be this easy !!!
Such a perfect snack to enjoy on a lovely evening with you loved and eating some nice samosas right ? This is one of the most easiest samosa recipe.
Easy Baked Vegetable Samosa

Ingredients
Pastry whole wheat flour – 3/4 cup
Oil – 3 tbsp
Water – 5-6 tbsp
Potatoes – 3 small, peeled
Green peas – 1/4 cup
Coriander seeds – 1/2 tsp or to taste
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp or to taste
Chili powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp or to taste, optional
Salt – to taste
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400 °F.
In a pot, add enough cold water to cover the tops of the potato and bring to boil on medium- high heat, add the peeled potatoes and peas and let it cook for about 15-20 min. - Meantime, in a mixing bowl add the whole wheat flour, oil, salt and mix it in with your hand or a wooden spatula, now gradually add water and keep kneading well to form a dough. Should be firm and hold its self, you can more water if needed. Let it sit for 15 min.
- Drain all the water from the pot (from step 1), using a masher, mash the potatoes and peas (not too mushy)
- Divide the dough into two halves and roll them into a ball. On a lightly floured surface and roll the dough into a circle. (not too thin)
- With a knife, cut the circle into two forming a semi circle. With your finger lightly wet the straight line and form it into a cone. Add the potato filling and seal the ends (you can cut out the ends if you want ). Repeat for the rest
- On a baking sheet, place the samosas flat and let them bake for 6 minutes on each side. Now broil them either on low for 5-6 min on each side or high on 1- 3 minutes. Bake until brown.
- Server hot with mint chutney.
Notes
- Make sure to keep checking on the samosa when on broil.
